GeNoMe Scholarship for Young Men

My name is Kene Booker-Mahatha, President of Greater Achievements, a 501(c)(3) organization founded to support young men impacted by the criminal justice system in their journey toward higher education and personal growth. The Greater Achievements – GeNoMe Scholarship was established in memory of my son, Nathaniel Marquis Booker, affectionately known as GeNoMe, who tragically passed away in January 2022. Through this scholarship, we honor his legacy by creating opportunities for young men who seek to turn their lives around and pursue a brighter future.

Professionally, I have over 15 years of experience in healthcare, starting as a Registered Nurse in 2008 and advancing to earn my Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2011 and a Master of Science in Nursing in 2021. I am now a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and currently work with Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care, providing correctional health services at New Jersey State Prison and Garden State Prison.

With Greater Achievements, I am deeply committed to helping young men build resilience, reclaim their goals, and achieve the education and resources necessary for their reintegration into society.
